Tiger Dropped by Tag Heuer

Tiger was once the best golfer around the world, formerly the World No.1; he is the highest-paid professional athlete in the world, having earned an estimated US$90.5 million from winnings and endorsements in 2010.
Now, Tiger Woods has been dropped by Tag Heuer, another major sponsor, as he continues on his comeback from a series of alleged sex scandals and subsequent divorce. In this article, I would like to tell you the latest news about Tiger Woods. If you want to know much more golf clubs reviews or golf news, you may read this funny article about TaylorMade R11 Driver.
Luxury watch maker Tag Heuer ended its deal according to Golf World when his current contract “expired”. The contract is believed to be worth more than $10m (£6m) and the Swiss firm are the sixth major sponsors to drop Woods following revelations about his personal life two years ago.
The Swiss watchmaker suspended use of Woods’ image in the US after details of his extramarital affairs came to light following a 2009 crash outside his Orlando, Florida home.
Woods was accused of cheating on his wife Elin Nordegren with as many as 14 women, including high class escorts and Las Vegas cocktail servers.
He was also linked to several porn stars who claimed they had affairs lasting several years with the golfer who has always prided himself on his clean cut, family image.
After seeing help at a rehabilitation centre following a public apology to his family and friends sponsors, including Gillette, Gatorade, Accenture, AT&T and Golf Digest deserted the world’s most famous sportsman.
The series of allegations was reported to have cost Woods more than $25m in sponsorship deals.
Other major sponsors, including Nike and EA Sports, stood by the sportsman who ended up paying his wife almost $100m in a divorce settlement. Golf websites also reported that Woods has had his sponsorship pay cut by Nike for failing to win any major tournament in the last two years.
Since his private life was laid bare Woods has not won a single tournament and has struggled to find his best form.
He made his comeback after a three-month layoff from knee and Achilles injuries this week at the WGC-Bridgestone Invititational in Akron, Ohio this weekend, his first tournament back from injury after almost a three-month layoff due to knee and Achilles injuries.
Though Tiger Woods come back to world, he will not be back! Do you agree with me? This article is from http://okgolfclubs.blogspot.com/, I would recommend the good TaylorMade Burner SuperFast 2.0 Driver and TaylorMade R9 Fairway Wood to you!

Luke Donald VS Lee Westwood

Luke Donald and Lee Westwood have been ranked at the top of the World Golf Rankings for the past 11 weeks. The No. 1 and No. 2 golfers in the world got their first looks at Atlanta Athletic Club on Tuesday, and almost no one noticed.
In this article, I would like to tell you the latest news about Luke Donald VS Lee Westwood. If you want to know much more golf clubs reviews or golf news, you may read this funny article about Ping K15 Irons review.
Playing in front of a few polite spectators, a dozen marshals and some impolite ducks, Luke Donald, who has been at the top of the World Golf Rankings for 11 weeks, strolled the back-nine fairways as the final drops of dew turned to steam. There was a smattering of applause here and there and a few autograph hounds behind the final green — but nothing like the throngs that once followed Tiger Woods’ every step and cheered every shot, good or bad.
Lee Westwood, who comes into the season’s final major at No. 2 in the world, suffered a similar reception on the front nine. A few sturdy souls walked with Westwood through his early-morning round, but his followers were less than ebullient in their reactions, no matter what shots he hit.
“Golf seems to be like that,” Westwood said. “Every other sport, if you had England at number one and two in the world, they would be celebrating and it would be all over the place. But, you know, it seems to be a bit quiet in England on that front.”
Fair or not, majors are golf’s standard. It was that way for Bobby Jones and Byron Nelson, and it will be how Donald and Westwood are judged.
That never seemed to be Woods’ problem. In his prime, the harder he tried, the better he played. The problem for players like Donald and Westwood is not how hard they try, but the standards Woods set that they now have to follow.
Donald wants to be that person, but to get there he has to shed the major-championship monkey from his back.
“There’s a little added tension there, a little bit more anxiety to try to and perform well,” Donald said. “You’ve got to somehow focus on what you can control and almost see it as just another event. But it’s tough. It’s a bigger stage. It’s harder to just kind of play it like a normal event.”
That’s because it’s not a normal event. They call them “majors” for a reason. And until Donald or Westwood win one, perhaps this week at the PGA Championship, they will be more like Harry Cooper than Tiger Woods.
